Returning customers
The Returning customers report displays data about all your customers whose order history includes two or more orders.
Use this report to
- Identify high-value customers
Repeat customers typically have higher lifetime value and stronger purchase intent. Use metrics like order count and total spend to evaluate their contribution and develop exclusive rewards or loyalty programs. - Analyze repurchase behavior and timing
Look at the gap between a customer’s first and most recent order to understand their buying cycle. Use this insight to improve the timing of product recommendations and customer communications.
Report data fields
You can find the following details for each customer:
- their name
- their email address
- whether they agreed to accept marketing when they placed their most recent order
- the date of their first order
- the number of orders that they have placed
- the average amount that they have spent per order
- the order amount, excluding discounts, includes taxes, shipping fees, and all refunds.
