Configure third-party payments
If you choose not to use Genstore Payments, you can still receive payments through third-party credit card payment providers supported by Genstore. You can activate or change your payment provider from the Genstore payment settings page.
During activation, you may be required to submit and verify your bank account information with the payment provider to ensure smooth transaction processing. It’s recommended that you confirm your store's eligibility to receive payments with the provider before submitting any bank information.
Activate a credit card payment provider
TIP
Please note that you can only activate one credit card payment provider at a time. If you are already using Genstore Payments, you cannot activate another provider simultaneously. However, you can switch to another provider at any time.
Steps:
- Log in to your Genstore admin account.
- Go to Settings -> Payments.
- Depending on whether your store has Genstore Payments activated, choose the appropriate option:
- If Genstore Payments is activated, in the Genstore Payments section, click Manage, then select Switch to a different third-party provider from the top menu and confirm.
- If Genstore Payments is not activated or is unavailable in your region, under the Additional payment methods section, click Add payment method and choose from the list of available providers.
- After selecting a payment provider, enter your account credentials in the pop-up window.
- Click Save to complete the process.
Change your credit card payment provider
TIP
After changing your payment provider, we recommend saving the changes and then testing your store by placing an order to ensure the new provider is working properly.
Steps:
- Log in to your Genstore admin account.
- Go to Settings -> Payments.
- In the payment section, click the Manage button.
- Click the More button at the top of the page and select Switch to a different third-party provider, then click confirm.
