Abandoned checkouts

An abandoned checkout occurs when a customer enters their contact information (email or phone number) on the checkout page but does not complete the checkout process. If the customer doesn't continue the payment and doesn't finalize the order within 30 minutes, it is considered abandoned.

Abandoned checkout rules

  1. The user must have entered either an email or phone number on the checkout page for the order to be marked as abandoned.
  2. Abandoned checkout data is kept for 3 months. If not recovered within that time frame, or if no attempt is made to recover it, the system will automatically delete the order.
  3. Orders with a total of $0.00 on the checkout page are not considered abandoned checkouts.
  4. Orders with out-of-stock or removed products cannot be recalled via email notifications.
  5. Items in the customer’s cart will not be collected if the customer abandons the checkout process.

  2. Click Create marketing automations.
  3. Select the Recover abandoned checkout template.

  2. Click the Order ID to access the Abandoned checkout details page and click Copy checkout URL.
  3. In the pop-up window, click the Copy link button.
