Track inventory

Genstore offers an inventory tracking feature that helps merchants monitor stock changes in real time, reducing overstocking and stockouts. It also minimizes the need for manual adjustments. For businesses operating across multiple locations, inventory tracking ensures that stock data is synchronized and updated in real time, improving inventory management efficiency and overall operations.

Once enabled, inventory tracking allows you to view up to 90 days of inventory adjustment history. This helps analyze inventory trends and make informed decisions.

Enable inventory tracking

  1. Log in to your Genstore admin panel, then go to the Products page.
  2. In the product list, click the name of the product you want to track or select Edit from the Action column.
    • If the product has multiple variants, select the specific variant you want to track.
  3. On the product details page, check Enable stock track and enter the current stock quantity.
  4. If you want to allow customers to continue purchasing after the product is sold out, check Allow purchases when out of stock.
  5. Inventory tracking is managed at the location level, meaning stock quantities are tracked separately for each storage location.
  6. Click Save to complete the setup.
