On the Pending shipments page in Genstore, you can view and manage all orders that are awaiting shipment. This page provides key order details, allowing you to track order status and ensure timely fulfillment. Below is an overview of the features and actions available on the Pending shipments page.
Page overview
The Pending shipments page lists all orders that have not yet been shipped. Orders are displayed in a list format for easy viewing and management. The page includes the following details for each order:
- Order ID – A unique identifier for each order.
- Order time – The date and time the customer placed the order.
- Product information – The names and quantities of the products in the order.
- Customer name – The name of the customer who placed the order.
- Order channel – The platform or sales channel where the order was placed.
- Package information – The package’s dimensions and weight, which you can edit.
- Shipping address – The address from which the order is shipped.
- Recipient address – The customer’s delivery address, which you can modify if needed.
- Shipping – Available carriers and the lowest shipping cost (visible after authorization).
- Status – The current status of the order (e.g., pending shipment).
Edit package details and recipient address
On the Pending shipments page, you can update the package details and recipient address to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Edit package details
- Under the Package information section, click Edit.
- Update the package weight, dimensions, or other necessary information.
- Click Confirm to save the changes.
Edit recipient address
- Under the Recipient address section, click Edit.
- Enter the new recipient details or modify the existing address.
- Click Confirm to save the changes.
Choose a shipping method
In the Shipping section, you can select an available carrier. Once your Shippo account is authorized, the system will display available shipping methods along with the lowest shipping cost.
How to select a shipping method
- In the Shipping section, choose the desired shipping method.
- The system will display the shipping cost for the selected method.
- If the cost meets your requirements, confirm your selection.
Action buttons
The Pending shipments page provides several action buttons to help manage orders efficiently. Here’s an overview of the key actions:
Purchase label
- Click Purchase shipping label to buy a shipping label through your authorized Shippo account. Once purchased, you can generate and print the shipping label for order fulfillment.
More options
Click More to access additional order management actions:
- Merchant self-delivery - If you are handling fulfillment manually, use this option to mark an order as shipped.
- Print packing list – Generate and print a packing list, which helps warehouse staff verify the items included in the shipment.
- Print pick list – Generate and print a pick list to guide warehouse personnel in selecting the correct items for the order.
- Add note – Add internal notes to an order, such as special customer requests or shipping instructions. These notes are visible in the order details for reference but are not shared with the customer.
